The Computer-On-Module module CoreExpress-ECO works with Intel's Atom processor. Unlike the established standards, this small new format allows the easy design of robust mobile devices.

Its size of 58 mm x 65 mm makes it the smallest embedded PC module available. The tiny overall size comes from the uncompromising, legacy-free design that does without the usual analog interfaces. The used Intel Atom processor is build in power-saving 45 nanometer technology and features a completely new microcode yet retains compatibility to the familiar programming model of the Core™ 2 Duo. The module's focus towards low current consumption is apparent when considering the extremely low power requirement of typically 5 watts at 1.6 GHz.
